ART… is an Active Verb!
I am a “Swiss Artist’s Knife”, with skills & interests in all manner of creative endeavors.
After years of working design & fabrication in the Orlando scenic projects scene, including Disney World, Epcot, Museum & Zoo Exhibits, Theatre & Film Props & Scenic, as well as collaborating & assisting other Fine Artists with their own artworks, I opted to return to College at age 45 and earn my BFA in Sculpture/Painting from Ringling College of Art & Design. My intent was to integrate what I had acquired by my years of hands-on field experience into my own personal artist’s storyline & visual freedom.
It was a fortuitous decision. I have since broadened my kitbag to include many contiguous skills, always with an advanced eye to design & show presentation read qualities.
I have one skill which stands above the litany of tech skills… an exceptional gift with the language of artistic metaphor and so make any abstract or tangible visual magic accessible to fabrication, function and a viewer’s engagement! In short, I am always challenged to extend my reach from within, beyond the grasp of my imagination.
I am currently working on a series of “Walkabout” paintings, each canvas as deep as a child’s sky.
